Whether you are dealing with physical pain, emotional pain, or illness, the brain processes the situation in similar ways. The parietal lobe of the brain interprets pain—of any kind—by receiving and processing certain kinds of signals from pain receptors scattered throughout the body. These signals then travel along nerves to the spinal cord and then to the brain. In the brain, they are evaluated and distributed for interpretation. And while it might take a minute or so to read this text about these neural pathways, the reality is that this process takes just microseconds to transpire.

This Sunday will be an exploration of the latest research in neuroplasticity--the ability of the brain to rewire and heal itself. You will learn four major steps you can take when dealing with physical or emotional pain. And most importantly, you will discover how these four major research-based steps can work in concert with faith, prayer, and meditation.

Join Reverend Dennis Ashley this Sunday for a lesson about the brain, the pain, and the healing.

Our ensemble features Julie Croteau. She will be accompanied by LeeAnn Aerlyn-Moore.
