You go to Unity because you know that the spiritual journey to your wholeness is essential for it helps you discover who and what you are. There is a deep part of you that is your wholeness, and taking the steps to reconnect with it will rock your entire life, right down to the very core. Yet, taking the path to wholeness comes with various missteps which can foster self-doubt. The key is to not let them deter you.
Here is a useful analogy from FINDING NEMO; a story about a fish named Marlin in search of his son, Nemo. In the story Marlin meets a friendly fish named Dory. When Marlin expresses doubt about his search, Dory encourages him by saying: "When life gets you down, you know what you gotta do? Just keep swimming."
Your job on this sacred journey is to just keep swimming, even when you meet obstacles and setbacks. Because as you do, you trade in horizontal thinking for vertical thinking. You move from ‘letting life happen to you’ and replace it with ‘you happening to life.’
