The year 2023 is just around the corner. As the new year presents itself to you, you may feel a compelling desire to close the door on certain experiences or patterns of behavior that did not pan out for you in 2022. In this way, you can make room for something better and more powerful to enter your life. That is the purpose of the Burning Bowl Ceremony.
This new year’s ritual takes place this Sunday, January 1st. To set the stage for letting go, Reverend Dennis Ashley will lead a meditation to help you identify the experiences, situations, and relationships that no longer serve you. Once you identify and own them, they can be released through the Burning Bowl ceremony. Symbolically, you are destroying the hold these memories have on you which are hampering your spiritual growth. This process of release sets you free and gives you space to invite new and healthier experiences into being.
Join Reverend Dennis Ashley this Sunday for a special ceremony of release that is both fun and deeply moving. This ceremony is the first of three new year’s traditions that are common in Unity. Next Sunday, January 8 will continue the process of renewal with the White Stone Ceremony followed by Letters to God on Sunday, January 15.
Our featured ensemble is S.O.U.L. They are Gwen Gathercoal, Paul Gathercoal, and Dagan Williamson with special guest musician Michael Robinson.
