This Sunday Spiritual Leader Dennis Ashley will continue his lesson series on Living in the Flow. The second lesson in this series uses the Chinese philosophical concept of Yin and Yang and the corresponding Taijitu symbol to explain the importance and benefits of living life in balance.
Yin and Yang refer to the various dualistic forces like light and dark that hold life in balance. You may have seen this concept represented in the Chinese Taijitu Symbol. This icon visually represents the complementary, interconnected, and interdependent aspects of these dualistic powers. Learning to recognize and align with these opposing forces allows you to stay centered under any circumstances. For example, Lao Tzu, the founder of Taoism, said that to be in the natural flow of life is to learn to embrace both the good and the bad. Jesus offered a similar lesson when he said, "The Kingdom of Heaven is within." Therefore, you should take any experience whether you see it as good or bad and bless it in the love of heaven within you. In this way, no matter how circumstances unfold, you can transform the experience using the attitudes of grace and forgiveness.
Join Spiritual Leader Dennis Ashley this Sunday for a lesson using the concepts of Yin, Yang, and the Taijitu to explain the spiritual notion of maintaining balance and the rewards of living life in the flow.
