Historically, Mother’s Day commemorates the conventional role of biological and surrogate mothers. Yet motherhood is more than the act of birth and childrearing. It also encompasses the universal role we all play in protecting and nurturing others. This Mother’s Day, we pay tribute to both conventions in recognition of the Divine Feminine dwelling within us all.

People express and experience motherly love in numerous ways. Common aspects of mothering (i.e., gemstones) are nurturing, compassion, and kindness. Jesus described God as being like a “mother hen” who gathers, nourishes, and protects.

This Sunday, our guest speaker is Susie Leonard Weller. She will share a lesson on mothering that explores the “gemstones” or gifts of motherhood. She will also invite you to consider the gifts you may have received from those who mothered you. Although they can sometimes cause pain, the gifts you receive always serve your soul’s contract. Therefore, it is important to look for the lesson in all of them.

So, join Susie this Sunday to learn how to embody the spiritual gifts that reflect the Divine Mother in you.

You can join us in person or watch the service on our live stream feed.

Our featured ensemble is called S.O.U.L. They are Gwen Gathercoal, Paul Gathercoal, Patty Ashley, Cheryl Kirby, Laura Wineteer, Ken Curtiss, and Dagan Williamson.
