Sunday Lesson

A lesson that unpacks the origins of The Old Testament.

This topic was planned for last Sunday but was superceded by current events. So Reverend Dennis will cover it this Sunday.

Love it or hate it, the Old Testament, aka the Hebrew Scriptures, is an amazing piece of literature. It has affected lives for at least 3200 years and probably much longer. But who wrote it? Someone (or many people) wrote these exciting stories, developed the intricate plots, introduced all the fascinating characters, wove in brilliant theology, and tapped into something extraordinary within our souls.

Is it gory at times?  It sure is! Are some of the story lines contradictory? Absolutely! But here is the deal: The Hebrew Scriptures have moved three different faiths for two thousand years. That very fact alone is extraordinary.

Join Reverend Dennis Ashley this Sunday for a lesson that unpacks the origins of The Old Testament.

You can join us in person or online this Sunday at 10 AM.

Our ensemble features Pamela Benton. She will be accompanied by LeeAnn Aerlyn-Moore. Julie Croteau will be our song leader.
