What if prayer had less to do with who or what you pray to, and less to do with what you pray for, than with the place within you from which your prayer arises? What if the real power of prayer is not found in pleading for change, but in praying from the consciousness of the solution?
We often hear the old saying, “God helps those who help themselves,” yet that line appears nowhere in scripture. What does appear, however, is a very different invitation: “God is opposed to the proud and gives grace to the humble.” Humility, in this sense, is not self‑diminishment, it is the willingness to soften, to open, to release the tight grip of certainty and control. It is the courage to pray from a place of trust rather than fear.
