Beliefs are defined as ideas or concepts that you accept as true or real. Yet, you may have taken on beliefs about yourself or the world that are fundamentally untrue. Even when you know that these false beliefs are holding you back, it can be difficult to release their hold on you. Sometimes, you are not even aware of their influence on your actions.
These beliefs, that you hold unconsciously, are viewed as truth in your mind. For example, an experience whether judged negatively or positively becomes an unconscious marker in your psyche. How it matches up with your view of reality will determine whether you see it as truth or not. The key to unlocking this false form of determining truth is discernment. Discernment allows you to confirm the truth of your moment-by-moment experiences and distinguish it from the stories you tell yourself.
This Sunday, September 26, features Licensed Unity Teacher Kathleen Tomich as our guest speaker. Join Kathleen for a lesson on looking clearly at your direct experience as the guide to truth or story.
Our featured vocalists are Julie Croteau and Randy Clark. LeeAnn Aerlyn-Moore and Dagan Williamson will accompany them.
