Susie started attending UNITY CENTER OF SPIRITUAL TRUTH in 2006. At that time, the center was still known as UNITY CENTER OF NORTH IDAHO. She loves the center and the community. Even when unable to attend in person, she enjoys watching the service on live stream. She has been a celebration assistant, a chaplain, and a member of the audio/visual team. In addition, she performed at events such as Phat Phollies. Susie also created fundraisers such as The Celebration of Cultures in 2019 and the recent Holiday Crafts Gift Sale which together generated $1700.00 for the general fund.
Susie attended a Toastmasters Lunch Bunch club for approximately 18 years where she learned to overcame her fear of public speaking. Although she is no longer in Toastmasters, she still enjoys re-igniting the fire, the passion, the zeal she feels when she speaks. She loves to educate and entertain her audiences.
Susie has a Bachelor of General Studies degree with a concentration in International Studies and Sociology from Gonzaga University. Studying diverse cultures, ways of life, and religions/spiritual beliefs is one of her passions.
She has been interested in the body-mind-spirit connection since approximately 1990 when she moved to California and went to Monterey Institute of Touch to learn massage therapy. She returned to Spokane in 1996 and went to The Hypnotherapy Institute of Spokane and became a Hypnotherapist. It was also at this time that she became fascinated with neuroscience. She received her ordination as an officiant in 1998 and has led over one hundred wedding ceremonies.
Susie is currently on a spiritual journey towards becoming a Unity minister.
