Our Palm Sunday program, Journey to Freedom, weaves together music from Jesus Christ Superstar, scripture, and Unity’s metaphysical interpretations to retrace the final steps of Jesus on his path to liberation. This immersive experience is brought to life by a talented ensemble of musicians and singers, with narration by Reverend James Kress. It invites you to follow spiritual truth not only in moments of celebration, but also in times of sacrifice.

The story opens with Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem, greeted by crowds waving palm fronds and shouting “Hosanna to the Son of David.” As the journey unfolds, it moves through Judas’s betrayal and culminates in the crucifixion under Roman rule. Through the interplay of music and sacred text, attendees are invited to reflect on the profound meaning of Palm Sunday—a moment that sets the stage for the Easter resurrection.

Join Reverend James Kress and our musical ensemble for a transformative experience featuring selections from Jesus Christ Superstar and other works, along with scripture and metaphysical insights.
