The Day of the Dead, or Día de Muertos, is a vibrant Mexican tradition celebrated on November 1st and 2nd. It's a time for families to honor and remember their deceased loved ones with ofrendas (altars), marigolds, sugar skulls, and favorite foods of the departed. It's a beautiful celebration of life and death, emphasizing the joy in remembering and celebrating those who have passed on.

In honor of what this holiday represents, we are inviting folks to prepare a favored dish of a deceased partner, friend, or family member and bring it with you on Sunday, November 3 for our Friendship Sunday Potluck. We also invite you to bring along a photo of the person or persons you wish to honor to place on the altar in the Sanctuary.
