Vegetable gardens are a wonderful way to increase your food security and improve your health. In addition, growing your own food allows you to eat locally and reduce your carbon footprint.
Whether vegetable gardening is already your thing, or you are keen to give it a try, there is a community garden right here at Unity that is available for your use. Imagine picking your own vine ripened tomatoes and fresh salad greens, right from your own garden plot.
As a community gardener, you will have the support and fellowship of other gardeners! Although it is not required, we envision that our community growers will produce such abundance that they will consider contributing excess produce to our Community Food Pantry.
The garden is available during the annual growing season. If interested, contact Jerilyn in the office.
