You must love Unity, for if you didn't, you'd probably do something else with your Sunday mornings. One of Unity’s strongest draws is our positive focus and that is a good thing. Yet even though you are a spiritual being having a human experience, it is important to acknowledge that at times your human experience will include grief, loneliness, or anger. The truth is you will suffer illnesses, the deaths of loved ones, financial struggles, and other challenging situations. Therefore, you must learn to accept it all.

So be positive when you are able, but don’t turn away from the anguish you suffer for God is waiting there. In other words, when you get real about your suffering, you have the chance to enter a holy communion with the Spirit of God. This Divine Presence sees your tears, feels your pain, and embraces exactly who you are. In this way, you discover that God is with you even in your grief-filled times.

Join Reverend Dennis this Sunday for a lesson about embracing the anguish for God is in every tear.

You can join us in person or watch the service on our live stream feed.

Our music ensemble features Julie Croteau. She will be accompanied by LeeAnn Aerlyn-Moore Jim Turner, and the Unity Choir Singers.
