The new year is a time of reflection and reassessment. It offers a chance to reset and restore your focus for the year ahead. During this time, it helps to release the baggage of unwanted thoughts, values, and relationships that no longer serve you. It may be a health condition, a financial situation, a "bad" habit, a relationship, a job, the neglect of a particular spiritual practice, or anything else you think of that you wish to release. This is the purpose of the Burning Bowl Ceremony. It allows you to write down the issues you wish to let go of in the coming year. Then, once you have identified them, you are invited to release their hold on you by setting them a flame. It is a deceptively simple, yet powerful way of saying good-bye to what is no longer helping you evolve on your spiritual pathway.
Join Reverend Dennis Ashley this Sunday for our Burning Bowl Service so you can clear out unwanted mental clutter that is holding you back and make room for new possibilities.
Our music ensemble features vocals by the Unity Singers Choir. They will be accompanied by LeeAnn Aerlyn-Moore. Julie Croteau is Choir Director.
