No doubt about it—these are challenging times. Yet, whether you are experiencing hard times or not, you always have a role and that is to carry the light. In other words, even when times seem difficult your salvation comes from finding ways to help others. This can be a challenging concept to accept if you are in the midst of some personal misfortune. For in trying times, the last thing you may want to do is to give to others. And yet, unexplainably, it is the only thing to turn to if you wish to restore your own wellbeing. So, when you find yourself in times of trouble look for ways to help others. As the Beatles told us half a century ago, “…take a sad song and make it better.”
Join Reverend Dennis Ashley this Sunday for a lesson about what it means to carry the light and how to illuminate it for others and yourself.
