On this journey called life in the body, it is easy to get distracted into believing that the physical experience is everything. In fact, it becomes an all-consuming way of being. Yet, eventually, you will find yourself seeking more than what the physical world can offer. This is a breaking point when you simply can’t ignore your desire to reconnect with Spirit. It is during these moments when life’s real purpose is revealed to you. That purpose is to restore the natural equilibrium that exists between your physical and spiritual natures. There are many ways to restore this connection. A classic example is through pilgrimage. Although a pilgrimage is a physical journey, ultimately it is a purposeful attempt to get closer to GOD. It stems from your innate desire to wake up, to feel whole, alive, and connected. It fulfills your desire to know your divine nature and feel it expressing as you.
October 17 is week two of our seven week Fall SpiritGroup Series based on the book BREATHING UNDER WATER by Father Richard Rohr. Lesson two is about responding to your innate desire to restore the sense of balance and wholeness that comes from realigning with Spirit.
