Save to your Calendar

Whether you are aware of it or not, you are in a season known in the Christian spiritual calendar as Lent, a time that invites your reflection, honesty, and spiritual renewal. Its roots reach back to the ancient story of Jesus spending 40 days in the desert—a place of solitude, testing, and deep inner listening.

The desert is both challenging and clarifying. It strips away distractions and reveals what is essential. Your own “desert experiences” often do the same. They may arise through uncertainty, transition, loss, or inner questioning—moments when familiar comforts fall away and you are left with yourself, your truth, and the quiet voice of Spirit.

This Sunday, you are invited to explore the desert not as a place of deprivation, but as a place of discovery and wisdom. The wisdom of the desert guides you home to your truest self, home to a deeper awareness of God, and home to Love itself. These invitations help you navigate life with greater clarity, compassion, and courage, returning you again to the center of Love.

Join Reverend James Kress this Sunday for a message on how your own desert seasons can become sacred teachers, guiding you to wake up, grow up, and clean up on your journey home.

Wherever you are on your spiritual path—grounded, wandering, or somewhere in between—you are warmly welcomed into this time of reflection and renewal.

You can join us in person or online.
